Northern Community Hub

Editorial policy

Northern Community Hub aims to describe community life clearly and fairly. We distinguish established information from interpretation, avoid filling gaps with invented detail and welcome careful corrections.

Accuracy and care

We check names, dates and factual claims against suitable material before publication, and take care not to turn a single example into a general rule. Where a subject is uncertain or accounts differ, we make that uncertainty clear rather than smoothing it away.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial choices are made for their relevance to readers, not as a condition of a partnership. Any paid, supplied or partner-supported material is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Partner links or placements are identified as such.

Corrections

If you spot a factual mistake, use the Contact page and identify the passage and the correction you believe is needed. We review reports, make changes where warranted and clarify significant corrections in the relevant piece.

Illustrations

Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence. When an illustration is AI-generated, we label it accordingly; illustrative images are not presented as documentary evidence of a particular place or event.

Our point of view

Community grows through shared attention

A hall kept in use, a familiar welcome and a gathering that makes room for newcomers all matter. We look closely at the ordinary practices that help people feel part of a place.
